Arrk Delivers Conversion Project for CORVID PayGate

Arrk Group used their expertise to deliver a conversion project for CORVID PayGate (Previously known as Barron McCann Payment Solutions). This involved the re-engineering of their BACSESS-IP product from Java technology to Microsoft.Net environment, as well as, the replacement of a desktop version of the global electronics payment platform.

Situation

Barron McCann’s payment processing solutions form a value chain which links the entire payment process, from payment data validation through to payment gateway solutions. Now known as CORVID PayGate, a UK-based electronic payment service, they focus on helping organisations create automated payment processing which are easy to implement, manage and maintain. One of the products offered and supported by CORVID PayGate is BACSESS-IP, traditionally written in Java.

Solution

Arrk Group were appointed to re-engineer the existing BACSESS-IP application from Java technology to the Microsoft.Net platform. A cost-effective hybrid Agile delivery model was applied, which consisted of consultants from Arrk UK and Arrk India.

Another essential aspect of the project was to convert a desktop version of the product, allowing smaller companies to control their electronic payments.

The objective was to make sure that the BACESS-IP product met the core technology of CORVID PayGate, allowing for faster maintenance and cost-effectiveness whilst creating more capability.

Outcomes

Arrk Group successfully converted the existing BACSESS-IP application from Java technology to Microsoft.Net environment. Arrk also developed a scalable solution for small to medium organisations with multiple departments each requiring BACS payment access.

During the project, Arrk Group were also able to re-engineer a desktop version of the product. BACSESS-IP Desktop, enable smaller companies and small finance or payroll departments, to pay their supplier and workforce electronically.

A hybrid team of Arrk Group UK consultants and Arrk Group India consultants worked together with CORVID PayGate to deliver the conversion project, BACSESS-IP now successfully runs on the core technology.
