We at Arrk aim to set, encourage and sustain high standards of corporate social responsibility in everything we do. We are conscious that our operations do not exist in a vacuum. The communities to which we belong, both as individuals and as an organisation, support us in many ways.
This support confers on us a duty to behave as a 'responsible citizen' and as part of that an obligation to play an active role in developing and enhancing the lives of those around us.
In recognition of this, Arrk has pledged to donate a percentage of all profits to supporting sustainable development and poverty reduction projects in the localities in which we operate. We are also committed to exploring, developing and promoting the concept of 'Fair Trade' as it applies to our industry and markets.
In order to deliver on this pledge, we have established the Arrk Foundation to direct the donation of funds for charitable purposes in accordance with the Foundation's Constitution and objectives. We also believe that our people should lead the Arrk Foundation and therefore it is set up as a membership organisation which any employee of Arrk can join. An Executive Committee is elected each year, and anyone who is a member of the Foundation can stand. So the Arrk Foundation is very much employee led and provides a great opportunity for all Arrkitects to get actively involved in decision making and make a real difference to the communities in which we live.
